Shrek (Michael Myers) is an ogre who lives in a swamp by himself. He wants to be himself, because he is very insecure about their appearance and how it is perceived. Meanwhile, in Farquaad's kingdom, many characters from the fairy tales we all know and love, including the Three Little Pigs, the wolf, the fairies, the Three Bears and Snow White is prohibited. The banned list is a talking donkey's name .... well, Donkey (Eddie Murphy). Donkey is a funny and sweet thorn in the side of Shrek. While eating, Shrek is horrified when his swamp is disturbed by the fairy tale creatures banished, in the hands of Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow). Shrek learns that to get his swamp back, talk to Lord Farquaad. Meanwhile, Farquaad retains a significant part fairy tale, the magic mirror from Snow White, by itself. It used to be a princess.
The dialogue between him and the mirror is very funny because it will play an episode of meetings with the mirror giving you three options: Cinderella, "She lives with seven men, but not easy" and Princess Fiona White. The knights in armor coach, Prince of choosing the number of three princess, the beautiful Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz). Fiona is locked in a tower that is protected by a female dragon. When Shrek finally arrived and Farquaad's kingdom will be cast in a parody of the struggle of WWF's fun to recognize their strength, Lord Farquaad made a pact with the Ogre: .. Take me to the girl and give back swamp Shrek accepts the case and begins its journey with the donkey in tow.
Shrek is a very intelligent film on many levels. It is a fairy tale in every sense of the word. Listen to the way of writing, the way the characters talk, the way the story flows. The guys from Dream Works does a good job with what they could close my eyes and the dialogue flows like if you have a story read to you. What makes this intelligent film is that it is a fairy tale than a parody of fairy tale. For example, in fairy tales, the prince was a tall, dark, handsome guy, handsome man is not complete until he finds his true love in your heart to give. However, Lord Farquaad is short, a sort of course, is not attractive, very bad, and lacking in the department running. Even the name is stupid in what he calls himself a master when it is just a prince. In fairy tales, the princess is a beautiful woman frail, delicate young and submissive. This is not the case with our Princess Fiona.
She is a lady in the front, young ass starts talking in a hilarious parody of the matrix. The characters in fairy tales, unlike their individual stories, are at a dead end. Their stories can not finish because they have nowhere to go.
Shrek is a pure genius. It is common for children and sarcastic and hilarious for adults. He has a voice (many movies forget to include in the recipe today) because it preaches the old adage that one should not judge a book by its cover. From a technical standpoint, the film pushes the limits of technology. While watching the movie and see Shrek and other characters' movements and frown, I quickly were thrown at the time, I saw Disney's Dinosaur. You will notice many of the same computer animation (web depth) used in this film. As for the voice over work, was the best of the best overall. At first I did not like the voice of Mike Myers or Scottish accent at all. It did not fit the look of the magic that was created or left behind, we know from previous adventures. Then I realized that the guys at Dreamworks has tried to do. They wanted a troll that nobody knew someone, you would have to get to know. When you get to know him, Shrek is very friendly.
His story is one that has the power to create suites and benefits. The film was in preparation for a long time. It was reported that Chris Farley was originally intended for the voice of the ogre. Never the less it is really a great movie.
